So, there's a contest today, asking what your favorite Bp lyrics are / what lyrics you identify with most &why. Here is my entry below. &I would like to also note that it is a rediculous and silly that they are having a contest on lyrics, when they don't display their lyrics anywhere online. You cannot find Brothers Past lyrics unless you listen the song and hear the words correctly. They mumble. They need to annunciate if they refuse to release their lyrics library publicly. It frustrates me, if you cannot tell :)
I over did it, but I just can't help it.
Getaway Somehow – “No one here, not a soul in sight / Pound the walls, with all your might / Echo the pounding and pulsing excitement of your heartbeat / No one here, we’re alone again.” --I always heard this is a secret sexual encounter, finding a place to be alone and, well...
Panic in the Streets – “Where were you when I needed you? / Where were you when I needed you the most? / And I dreamt my teeth had fallen out / I dreamt of Hitler in a red dress. / Where were you when the nightmares came?” --The image of this just hits me, its rediculous, in a rediculous way.
Lines on our Hands – “Lines on our hands / They tell our story / Ones full of heartache, anger, and worry / Real work in progress.” & “Embers of memories burned long ago.” --The first, I feel as if my past is still following me, like the work in progress, so is my story. The second, it is just a line I really like and stands out when I listen.
Dressed Up Worn Down – “Wear imperfection as well as you can.” --I try to.
Too Late to Call – “It’s not too late to call a truce / I have been reduced to a sniveling, whining and whimpering pile of useless flesh I am sorry / For everything I knew but was never said / For telling you horrible things just to get to your head.” --When an ex and I broke up, I always hoped tihs is how he felt.
